Die Auftaktveranstaltung fand am 1. Er spannte einen Bogen von klassischen Comics bis hin zu modernen Graphic Novels und zeigte, wie das Medium pers\u00f6nliche und gesellschaftliche Themen auf einzigartige Weise vermitteln <em>Columbusstra\u00dfe \u2013 Eine Familiengeschichte 1935\u20131945<\/em>. In einer bewegenden Slide-Show stellte er die Graphic Novel vor, die auf rund 500 Seiten die Geschichte seiner Familie w\u00e4hrend des Nationalsozialismus erz\u00e4hlt. Dahmen rekonstruierte anhand von Briefen, Fotografien und Erz\u00e4hlungen seines Vaters die Lebensrealit\u00e4t seiner Gro\u00dfeltern und Eltern in dieser dunklen Zeit der deutschen Geschichte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Titel \u201eColumbusstra\u00dfe\u201c verweist auf den damaligen Wohnsitz der Familie im D\u00fcsseldorfer Stadtteil Oberkassel \u2013 ein Ort, der zum stillen Zeugen einer bewegten Vergangenheit wurde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Pr\u00e4sentation stie\u00df auf gro\u00dfe Resonanz. Viele Besucher zeigten sich tief ber\u00fchrt von der pers\u00f6nlichen und zugleich historisch bedeutsamen Erz\u00e4hlweise. Zahlreiche Sch\u00fclerinnen und Sch\u00fcler sowie Comicinteressierte nahmen am Zeichenworkshop unter der Leitung des Gie\u00dfener Comiczeichners Andreas Eikenroth teil \u2013 und tauchten begeistert in die Welt des Comiczeichnens ein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eikenroth verstand es meisterhaft, den Teilnehmenden einen einfachen und praxisnahen Zugang zum Medium Comic zu vermitteln. Mit viel Humor und Fachwissen erkl\u00e4rte er die grundlegende Struktur von Comics: Wie Panels aufgebaut sind, welche Wirkung ihre Anordnung hat und wie man mit Bildausschnitten und Perspektiven Spannung erzeugt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt lag auf der Gestaltung von Figuren. Die Teilnehmer lernten, wie man mit wenigen Strichen ausdrucksstarke Charaktere erschafft \u2013 von der Mimik \u00fcber die K\u00f6rperhaltung bis hin zur Kleidung. Gemeinsam entwickelten die Teilnehmenden kurze Handlungen, die sie in eigenen Panels umsetzten. Der kreative Prozess wurde dabei von gegenseitigem Austausch und viel Spa\u00df begleitet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Workshop war ein voller Erfolg und hinterlie\u00df bei allen Beteiligten bleibenden Eindruck.
